MTS has been blessed by many friends like you over 60 years of her history. Because of you, MTS has trained over 400 pastors, missionaries, music directors and church leaders. As MTS is carrying on from strength to strength, we have been pondering, praying and planning to let more like you be directly involved in supporting some of our students and lecturers who need your financial and prayerful commitments.
Over the years, we thank the Lord for the financial supports of many churches and members who have committed to majority of our students' expenses and MTS general fund. However, there are some students from the Iban churches and foreign nations such as China who also need committed churches and members to support them.
It's true that some churches such as the Bupyeong Methodist Church in Korea and some members such as a family in Brunei have committed to support Mainland Chinese students and Iban students respectively. But Bupyeong MC is ceasing to support any more new students after supporting 4-5 students from China for the past few years.
MTS continues to have more applicants from China and also more Iban students, both in STMS and Theology program, who need financial supports. Who are going to support them? This year (2015) on MTS campus, we have a record-breaking 12 foreign students, among whom five are Indonesians and seven are Mainland Chinese. We also have thirteen Iban students (five STMS and eight Theology students). We are inviting you to prayerfully consider to support them.
Besides the needy students, we also have lecturers who need constant upgrading in order to provide better training for our students. Such upgrading also needs funding. Please also prayerfully consider to support.
If the Lord is leading you to support our needy students and lecturers, we will acknowledge you as "Friends of MTS". Please fill up a “Friends of MTS” Pledge form and submit to MTS. You may pledge to undertake one or more students until graduation. You may also choose to donate a sum of money on a regular or irregular basis.
May the good Lord bless you as you give, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35b)
