Master of Ministry (M. Min.)

About the programme

Applicants must possess a first theological degree or its equivalent from any theological institutions recognized by the ATU/MATS and have been involved in pastoral ministry or related field for a minimum period of five years.

Course Requirements:

  • The duration of this program is seven years. The maximum study period should not be more than ten years. Two modular courses are to be offered each year.
  • The whole program is made up of 42 credits hours (14 courses: 4 theological and 10 practical courses with 3 credit hours each.)
  • For each course, a book review (3000 words) and a research paper (4000-6000words) are required.
  • Rate of absence permitted is 15% or less.
  • Passing grade is B.
  • New curriculum commerce in 2018.

  3. As an alternative to one taught course
  4. Research paper can be based on the concern or interest of the students in his/her pastoral ministry.
  5. Originality and practicality are the two main emphases.

Application and Admission Procedures

  1. M. Min applicants must submit an application form together with the following supporting documents:
    • A statement about the applicant’s history of service (year, churches/congregations, Boards of Annual Conference, position….)
    • A medical report (Form available from the school)
    • A curriculum vitae (CV)
    • A letter of recommendation from the AC Board of Ministry or related authority concern
    • A statement of reasons for the enrolment to this program
    • Two recent passport-size photographs
    • A contribution of RM50.00 is required for the new applicant
  2. Completed Application Form should reach the School before 15th September every year (For Malaysian). Overseas Application Form should reach the School before 30th June every year to facilitate the process of visa application.
