卫理神学院于2008年6月16日(一)假卫神礼堂进行了第二学期兼第三届伊班神学先修班开学礼。当中院牧洪劲用牧师以腓4:4-9勉励众师生们要靠主常常喜乐，并竭力在各个方面致向优越。洪牧师鼓励会众时常紧记上帝呼召各人进入神学院的目的，无论是服事还是受装备，成为各人努力的动力。在这届的伊班神学先修班，共有3名学生加入全时间受装备的行列。这3名学生都是今年伊班短宣课程的结业生。
MTS had our 2nd Semester & 3rd Batch Iban Pre-Theo Opening Service on 16th June 2008 (Monday). There are three students for the Iban Pre-Theo course. All these three students were graduates of the Iban STMS Course for this year.
卫理神学院2008年第一届开学礼于2008年1月3日早上9点假卫斯理堂举行。
2008 MTS 1st Semester Opening Service was held at the Wesley Methodist Church on 3rd January 2008 at 9.00am.
2007年第二学期及第二届伊班神学先修班开学礼于2007年6月18日早上9点于卫神礼堂举行。
2007 2nd Semester & 2nd Batch of Iban Pre-Theo Opening Service was held at 9.00am on 18th June 2007 at MTS chapel.

我们于2007年1月3日早上九点正假诗巫卫斯理堂举行2007年神学院、延伸神学教育课程和华文、英文与伊班文端起宣教学校开学礼。
We had our opening service of the 2007 1st Semester of MTS, TEE and Chinese, English and Iban STMS on 3rd January 2007 at Wesley Methodist Church, Sibu at 9.00am.
